Cannot wait to hear what you think!!
Jessica, sounds like you are really getting into this novel! It is such a great book...
And I hear you Cait, I have thought the same thing about both of you. Two book chicks after my own heart!
I am loving this book! I had to make myself stop reading last night, just so I could have one more day with it...
Anybody surprised to see this small single sentence review rated as 4th in Goodreads for this book? Well, that's what a few words can do. They can speak a lot. The first comment is - Can't wait to read what you think about this book. This review proves that a small sentence can be a bestseller too.
Thanks guys. I'm sorry I didn't see your comments until now! I wonder how many more times this year Goodreads' notifications will go down. : )
I was going to write a review, but then seeing this i realized nothing could
beat this.Such an awesome description!

Well said. :)
I love a review that gets right to the point. And if it makes me smile like yours did, it gets extra points. Very funny!
I couldn't agree more. I kept thinking "why doesn't he just write her off, she is terrible!" But that book really pulled me in. Thank goodness he finally meets a nice girl and I like to think that they live happily ever after.
hahaha, this is all somebody has understood from the book :-). Maugham would have surely suicided reading this, were he still alive

I agree.I've read it at least twice. It's a very honest account of someone who just wanted to be loved. And instead he gets trampled all over, to the point where it nearly killed him.
I know! She's such a C-U-Next-Tuesday "in every sense of the word". Every time she appeared I shuddered and thought "oh God, NO". I must admit that I loooved hating her though.

*Ahem* 140 people, thankyouverymuch.
Thanks, everyone else!
A Hemingway review I see. At three quarters in, I am not sure if I can take the bitch or his dumb ass spine less attitude anymore, but I love the prose and those moments of total clarity SM is so good at portraying.
I was on the fence on if I should read this - your review pushed me to read it hahah! And then I added you as a friend as well :)
You have no idea the joy this review has brought to my book club. We loved and still talk about this review
This is priceless. My book club selected this book, and we all got a great laugh out of this one line review while deliberating the selection. But then, we read the book; it has been months, perhaps even a year now, and not a single meeting goes by without somebody saying this one liner! It has become our own ICONIC inside joke! Thank you, thank you for giving us soooo much extended joy from one sentence.
LMAO!! Your review is awesome! Our bookclub just chose this book and we are excited because if your review!! We are in!!
