Hi all:My newest novella was released today by The Wild Rose Press. Pulpy, sexy crime. Interested? If so, message me and let me know what kind of file you prefer.
Something bad has happened (again) in Dusky Beach. And Rita Deltone, a tough talking waitress from Lemon Run, Florida, is smack in the middle of it. She's being interviewed while all trussed up, lying there in the stark white room with a bandage on her head. She knows all too well the dirt road she took to get down so low, but she takes the long way around in the telling.
Liam Donell is the new detective in town. His partner is on vacation so he has to handle all the dirty work. But this Rita chick is pretty cute. He's not making the best decisions regarding the case, then it turns real ugly.
An unlikely couple, Rita and Liam try to make the best of a bad situation. With hot, hilarious, and surprising results.
Thanks!
Mickey

Down To Zero - a crime-thriller mystery with a paranormal twist is available at smarturl.it/a7h7l2 (Amazon/Kindle) and smarturl.it/oceu81 (Kobo). It's been likened by some early readers to The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo so for lovers of noir, it's one to read. All reviews would be most welcome. Songs of the Maniacs is a short novel, neo-noir and twisted, a psychological thrill ride. Available from Salt Publications in the UK. Review copies available from me.
Bloody Mary ConfessionHere's the story behind the story
I have published short mysteries in the past, all with a twist at the end. Reviews were very positive with many saying (paraphrasing here): "I wish this story was longer, I wanted more."
"Bloody Mary Confession" started as a 7500 short story, edited, cover designed, a clever twist at the end, ready to go. I held back, wondering if I could turn it into a novel. I expanded to 20 K words, novella length, then to 40 K words adding new characters, subplots, backstories.
Once I reached the 40 K word 'mini-novel' length, I revised one more time and found places to punch up the intrigue, suspense, and character development. BMC is now over 60 K words and ready to go.
It was a great learning experience. I was patient, taking time to anticipate what readers would want to know more about -- characters, conflict, and especially drama. I devoted nearly three chapters, building up to the suspenseful climax when readers learn the meaning of Bloody Mary Confession.
About the plot, it's about three college students who bond at a kegger after a football game. We follow them through their careers, one is drafted by the Red Sox; his wife becomes a Hollywood actress; the third, a friend to both, becomes a corporate exec.
But through life's twists and turns, each has challenges that test their characters.
A suspicious death, possible murder, reunites them in a way, until a Bloody Mary Confession reveals all.
BMC is discounted 33% at Smashwords to two bucks. A real deal. Enter the code: LK23A

Hi Everyone,I have published two thrillers based around forensic scientist, Nick Fennimore, and Chief Inspector Kate Simms. In Believe No One, they are in the United States Midwest: Simms, working with a Cold Case review team in St Louis, and Fennimore helping a young deputy sheriff with two murders she believes are linked.
Adventuring in Oklahoma's backwoods, nine year-old Red has no clue that he and his mom are in the killers sights. As the two investigations converge, the teams realise they are dealing with killings that span two decades and two states. And soon the race is on to catch the killer and save the boy. Believe No One

Hello Crime Fiction Authors and Readers. I’m new here and please check out my recently published crime thriller about the hunt for the kidnapped son of a billionaire. It’s called Detective Lessons.

Hi everyone, I actually have a question. My book has some criminal elements, but isn't necessarily about crime. Does that count as crime fiction, or am I barking up the wrong tree?
My short story, "Frank Winston," is now available on Amazon, and Kindle Unlimited. You can read a sample of it on my blog. It's a tale of two old guys who are crass and ornery. Think Grumpy Old Men, but in the mob (to a slight extent). They haven't had the best of luck in their years and seem to give each other the same amount of trouble that they get themselves into. Here is the blurb.
Frank Winston is not just one guy, but two elderly ex-cons trying to make some extra money. With the recent purchase of a customized used van, they set out to find their fortunes. Curt Ferrero calls the men to transport some stolen goods to a buyer while the owner of these goods, a mid level gangster and Ferrero's boss, wants to put an end to Ferrero's ways. Frank and Winston are caught in the middle of an internal squabble in the mob that these grumpy old men don't want to be a part of. They just want some extra cash, but will they be able get out without getting into trouble?
This is my first attempt at self publishing and I'm excited to finally have something of mine out there in the real world, or digital world, or... You know what I mean.
So please, go here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00TGCNOU6, buy a copy, and leave a review. Spread the word. Enjoy.

Kelly Malloy is a wife, a mother and a successful lawyer whose world is shattered when she is brutally attacked while running along the banks of the Brandywine River. Chad McCloskey, a lonely teenage boy from a dysfunctional home, stumbles upon Kelly Malloy’s unconscious body immediately after the assault. He is falsely accused and imprisoned with dangerous felons, only because he tries to help her. Maria Hernandez, a young woman who emigrated illegally from Mexico, is reluctantly thrust into the role of witness to the crime, putting her in jeopardy of deportation only weeks before she is to give birth to her child. They all suffer tremendous adversity in the wake of the crime, and they ultimately discover that their lives and their fate are permanently connected.
Time LapseMy latest crime novel Time Lapse is now available as a paperback and ebook on Amazon.
Blurb:
A despicable crime carried out twenty years ago by a teenage gang. The proceeds of a heist hidden away.
Chris Crosby was involved and could have intervened but he didn’t. So he is just as guilty. But where to hide? How about the most obvious place. He is a surveillance expert investigating organised crime in Merseyside – in particular the activities of an outfit led by Alison Mason who has had to take control when her partner was drowned in a botched drug smuggling operation. Chris is also a rock climber with ambitions to solo the hardest and most dangerous climb in the area, ‘Time Lapse’. Talk about not attracting attention to yourself.
But the ghosts from his past have been awakened. Can Chris avoid exposure? Can he shop the gangsters? Can he climb – and survive – the route?
Some goodreads reviews for my previous book A Fair Wack: 'A fast paced book. Really good read'. A very thrilling book. Couldn't put it down'. 'A well-written book'.

Hello! I'm Sara Sheridan, author of the Mirabelle Bevan mystery series. There are three already out - Brighton Belle, London Calling and England Expects and I'm excited to say the cover for the latest one, British Bulldog, has just been released. Here's the blurb for England Expects, to give you an idea of what it's all about:
"Set during the heatwave of 1953, England Expects finds Mirabelle and Vesta investivating the seemingly unrelated murders of a racing journalist and a cleaning woman. Their searches lead them through Brighton Pavilion's crumbling passageways, to the quad of a Cambridge college and finally into the shady underworld of Brighton freemasonry. And, while not on the murder trail, Vesta has to make some difficult decisions about her personal life."
I'm looking forward to making more friends on Goodreads!

The Organ BrokerI got a hold of the galley of this book and it was the best thriller I have read in years. There is an amazing secret world for the black market for organs that I knew nothing about and the protagonist in this novel explains it all, while racing around the globe trying to prevent a murder and trying to make up for his own sins. Incredible book. mark it “to read” right now.
I'm new here. Nice place. I like Hammett, Hillerman, Hammer, and Hamlet. I'll be prowling around. :)
Gary wrote: "I'm new here. Nice place. I like Hammett, Hillerman, Hammer, and Hamlet. I'll be prowling around. :)"Hi Gary, love your alliterative opener.
How would you feel about a female PI in a hardboiled tech thriller, kind of a Hammett-esque rigid loner: tough, cynical, and ever more isolated from a corrupt society, a twenty-first century urban 'cowboy' patrolling the mean frontier of cyberspace?
Too much? Too soon?

While on a backpacking holiday, she is struck down by a tropical disease and suffers cardiac failure. But at the eleventh hour, Casey receives a life-saving heart transplant - and a rare second chance to begin again.
Three years later, Casey has become a withdrawn shell of her former self: she is estranged from her loved ones, afraid of open spaces and rides the line between legitimate and criminal work. The worst of her troubles come in the form of violent night terrors; so frightening that she resorts to extreme measures to keep herself from sleeping. When she can take no more, she embarks on a desperate search for the source of her dreams. In so doing, she makes a shocking discovery surrounding the tragic fate of the donor whose heart now beats inside her chest. As she delves deeper into the mystery of her donor, she realizes her dreams are not a figment of her imagination, but a real life nightmare...

Readers and Bloggers, hi,I would like to introduce my upcoming e-novel 'Catharsis' which is a dark take on various forms of child abuse.

Dark tale of a tough-as-nails detective, a curious old man and a persistent district attorney - all trying to catch a pedophile.
Fear is relative.

Contemporary psychological thriller 'Catharsis' is not a happy read. It has no happy people. It is dark, depressing and short. Readers may get nauseated by some references and be hopeful with others. It has the best and worst of human nature.
Readers and reviewers are requested not to reveal any spoilers.

I'd like to pitch my debut humorous crime novel "Spare Me." Here's the blurb:
2015 New York Festival of Books honorary mention.
When a Zamboni driven by machine gun wielding Russians smashes through the wall of a mob-owned bowling alley, Leonard Fleischman uses a well-placed bowling ball to go from being the guy who sprays antifungal disinfectant into rental shoes to an all-American hero. Leonard's heroics turn bowling into a nationwide craze and spawn a televised tournament at the Meadowlands where the winner gets $100,000 and a spot on the pro tour. He'll have to compete against a violent truck driver who wants to punch himself in the liver and a bowling ball engineer who invents a high-tech magic ball that steers itself. All Leonard has to do is not get killed by a mob tough guy on a Rascal scooter, a hit man trainee with an overprotective mother, a mismatched pair of twin redneck thugs, a bowling ball company security team armed with rocket launchers and a monkey who throws a really mean hook.
Here's a line from one of our recent reviews:
"The laugh-til-you-pee-your-pants scene with this guy is etched in my memory. You have to read it. Now."

Hello all! As of September 4th I officially became a crime writer with my newest novel, The Gold Club. It's a crime thriller of the white collar variety, and I'm not finding all that many similar genre-types out there so hopefully I didn't pidgeonhole myself too much lol - anyone interested is welcome to check it out, and if you're of a mind to do a little review I'd be happy to offer a complimentary copy for that purpose.
