For the first one, you had already created an alternate cover edition, but did not upload the cover. I have uploaded it.

Kindle editions should now update automatically. Only the author can set a default edition.

Ahh, thanks. I've set the new book 1 as primary edition. With book 2, do you mean it will automatically update, or do I need to create a new edition for that one too?
