Teru Oh yikes, not the gas chamber 👀 that's a very unfortunate choice of words 🙈 Looks like this author may not be for you? Especially if it's not the first one 😔
Hopefully your next read will be much better, Drache, with no gas chambers in sight 😅❤️

Drache.... (Angelika) @Teru very unfortunate yeah.
The author's plots are always so intriguing but the execution then is lacking (for me at least).
Thanks dear ♥️

Snjez Wow! Has anyone edited this? 😬 Sorry this was a miss for you, but totally understandable. Weird choice of words aside, sometimes we just don't vibe with certain authors' writing style. 🤷‍♀️ Hope your next read is better. 💕

Sandy Kay English is my first language and that comparison would NOT fly. 😡 Bummer. Sorry it wasn't a better read for you! Hope the next is awesome. ❤️

Drache.... (Angelika) @Snjez I'm glad you feel the same way about the word choice.
Yeah I gotta accept that and not let myself be sidetracked by their interesting blurbs ;)
Thank you ♥️

Drache.... (Angelika) @Sandy Kay ok thanks for confirming it.
Thank you ♥️

Imme [trying to crawl out of hiatus] van Gorp Not the casual mention of a gas chamber, omgg💀💀

Emory Winters Sorry I don’t usually comment on reviews but this felt important to clarify. It wasn’t my intention for the reference to be conflated with gas chambers used for genocide but I can understand why it was perceived that way (naively I was picturing something more scientific) I have updated the book to remove this as a result and appreciate you bringing it to my attention. I’m sorry for causing any distress in reading this.

Drache.... (Angelika) @Imme :(

Drache.... (Angelika) @Emory Winters thank you for reaching out. And obviously thank you for removing it.
I'll update my review and rating!

len ❀ [ia bc of school] seeing this after the updated reference/edit so i'm not sure what happened lol but i'm glad the story itself wasn't that bad and you were able to enjoy this somewhat! :) too bad you don't connect with the writing. hope your next read is much better, drache!

Smutty Sully Great review and thank you for giving us the heads up for something offensive! I'm really happy to see the author cared enough to listen to readers and take it out (not enough authors do that, TBH)! And good on you for updating the review, it's a win-win all around.

Drache.... (Angelika) @len you get the picture in the comments, but yeah overall the story itself wasn't bad. Thank you, dear ♥️

Drache.... (Angelika) @Smutty Sully thank you.
I appreciate the author reaching out and actually CHANGING it a lot.
Exactly, a win-win. Thank you.

Evie The only time I really like to see authors in review spaces is when they hear a concern and address it immediately. Glad to see you were able to bring something to their attention and have some action on it. Bummer that this didnt vibe for you more but I know what you mean about there being some good ideas with the execution just missing a little.

Drache.... (Angelika) @Evie I didn't really expect but was pleasantly surprised.
Thanks, yeah sometimes it is what it is ;)

Well done! Just want to add my thanks for recognizing the problem and addressing it.
