The therapyspeak in books lately have become a Thing and it's exhausting already

SPOT ON. The therapyspeak also insults the reader too as if we're too dumb to figure out anything that the book (or author) is saying so it all has to be told and spelled out for us.
Great review. And hard agree on the therapy speak of it all. Lets see that messiness on page!

Absolutely: I haaaate the feeling I'm being talked down to, which I get a lot in recent romance novels
