Very Interesting Lisa Marie, I can't remember when I read a historical it has been a while. your book is on my too read list.

I am on another board with Lisa and read her first book-Fire at midnight when she first published it and it is a great story,it is a HR and I don`t normally read them but this book starts with a bang and carries thru to the last page,and it is different.
The h starts out being rescued from a horrible insane asylem by an Alpha hero and just gets better from there on.
I love the book ,and gave it 5*

Good morning,

When I began writing my debut novel, “Scars of the Prophet”, I wanted to try something different. To step outside the normal boundaries of what defines a good guy or a bad boy.
The main characters of my novel are Tom Judah and Jessica Spire, two young adults trying to reinvent their lives and right the wrongs of their pale and crumbling world. I wanted each reader to hopefully identify with either Tom, or Jessica’s story.
Tom has recently returned from Iraq and trying to fit back into society while battling the inner demons of PTSD. Jessica is trying to find her place after leaving an abusive and callus marriage.
I never once describe either character (which was very hard as a writer) to allow each reader the freedom of forming a picture of themselves, or someone they know in the mind’s eye.
The antagonist of this story is the character’s struggles—they are both protagonist and their pathway to love is the antagonist. I found this type of literary adventure to be the most challenging aspect of writing their story.
It is a different type read, a subtle voice that calls out to the sanity of this unsanitary world…and maybe, just maybe—Tom and Jessica’s story will appeal to you. I would like to think we have all experienced a small part of their lives through our own parallel lives.
