Bakul Sharma Hi! I’m the author and I totally understand the DNF. As for what’s in the latter half of the book—it’s the remorse and regular therapy sessions that Lucian goes through. He takes a deeper dive into what he did and why. Eventually he learns his reasonings and armed with that knowledge starts to grovel—without expecting Aarohi to take him back. They finally get back together at around 90%, but not without a lot of sweet moments and difficult conversations.

Also, I really appreciate you not rating a DNF. I’m a reader as well and I follow the same ideology of not rating a book if it’s a DNF for me. <3

Hope you give this book a try in the future. :)

Sewster Hey! Thanks for commenting. I treat my DNF comments as notes to myself, which I realize may feel unfair as an author. I have never found a way on GR to do this (comments for myself) without leaving a review. I sometimes come back to books I DNF but look back at my GR to find out why I dropped it before. Or sometimes I accidentally download a book again and wonder if I read it (then check on my GR).

For what it’s worth, I think you’re a good writer and I loved the FMC. I tend to strongly dislike dual POV (which I realize is outside the norm these days), so the fact that I made it this far says how much I liked the story overall. I typically don’t like to read about the mmc’s thoughts during a reconciliation type story, as I prefer to struggle with the FMC in not knowing all his thoughts and motivations. I recognize this is a preference, and not at all reflective of the quality of your story.
