Thank you so much for this amazing review! I wanted Dead Roads to feel intimate and human, even against the backdrop of chaos, so hearing that Mark and Lisa’s bond stood out really means a lot. The infected were designed to feel more like evolving predators than mindless monsters, so I’m glad that came through and added to the tension. I especially love that you picked up on the quieter moments—they’re some of my favorites to write, because they often reveal the deepest truths about the characters.
