Hi, and thank you so much for reading Magical/Realism! I never check reviews, much less comment here, but for a fellow nerd, I just wanted to clarify that I have read ASOIAF! Twice! I also read F&B in 2021, and own the World of Ice and Fire. To answer your question, I did write about 60 pages on postcolonial readings of race and history in the books vs. the show, but that material was cut from the final essay to focus on how the show's reach made the border, its politics, and its people radically visible and human for the first time in popular mainstream media. I plan to write a lot more on ASOIAF, and am making content on TikTok about it if you ever want to check it out! Thank you so much again for reading and taking the time to review my book. I sincerely appreciate you.
