I have found the graphic novels easier to read than the books themselves.
My main issue with the series is: it comes off trying to be "too smart". Dripping with self righteous arrogance. Filled with riddles, twisted politics, which if you aren't trying to escape real world bs is fine. I find myself more frustrated the longer I push myself to read it.
"It made you feel something" means it's good writing. It just feels over-whelming.
