Dormant AngelsDormant Angels - A Secret Kept Buried for 2000 YearsBy Fred Oliver
Genre: Thriller/Suspense
The story is a sprawling, multi-layered thriller that interweaves supernatural and religious mysteries with global geopolitical and natural disasters. At its core, it focuses on a diverse cast—from archaeologists and religious leaders to intelligence operatives—racing against time to recover and safeguard ancient sacred artifacts (such as copper tablets and the Temple Menorah). These relics, steeped in myth and ritual, are key to an ancient ceremony that may counteract a rising darkness unleashed by both demonic forces (the Dormant Angels) and modern-day powers.
Meanwhile, the modern world teeters on the brink of collapse with crumbling infrastructure, political machinations, and technological warfare, forcing the characters to confront inner doubts, betrayals, and the collision of rational science with mystical destiny.
DON'T MISS THE EXPLOSIVE ENDING TO A STORY EERILY SIMILAR TO TODAY'S GEOPOLITICAL EVENTS!

I find it quite difficult to put my books into just one genre. For instance,
is recognized as a mystery/thriller but it is also a historical romance. It is the first book in a trilogy and has been awarded the Readers' Favorite Bronze Award.
#2 in the Dark Moon Trilogy. Again it is a mystery/thriller and it is historical with romance thrown in.
#3 in the Dark Moon trilogy. All three are set in England in the days when to make ends meet, there were smugglers. Some were unbearably cruel, others simply had to do as they were told in order to feed their families. They are hunted by the Revenue men. One girl, brought up in a rich household, finds herself stranded in the middle of the battles that inevitably erupt. Two men are determined to win her: one is a smuggler, the other is a wealthy Revenue man out for revenge.
All have been awarded Five Stars from Readers' Favorite.

Hey guys, a few years ago, I traded in my military boots for a pen, yeah, probably not the switch anyone expected, least of all me.
After years of serving, adapting back to “normal” life wasn’t easy, and writing became my lifeline.
So, I’m here to share stories, talk books, and maybe even inspire someone else to chase that itch they can’t ignore. Peace.

Treasures of the LochsThis Friday (March 6), there will be a discount on the Kindle/e-book version on Amazon (it will be available for $2.99).
This is suspenseful YA Christian fiction, involving a modern-day treasure hunt in Scotland, with a bit of supernatural thrown in. Blending historical fact and Scottish legend within an action-packed adventure, Treasures of the Lochs is a powerful story of faith, friendship, and redemption. The target audience is teenage and above (some parts would be too intense for younger readers). This book is a 2024 NIEA Finalist in Religion Fiction. It also hit Amazon#1 New Release for Christian Fantasy. I hope you’ll check it out.

Overview:
A cop is dead.
The case looks airtight.
It isn’t.
When a Tideview police officer is found murdered, the evidence points cleanly to a single suspect. Too cleanly for IA Detective Kat Booker.
The timeline fits.
The motive is obvious.
The department is ready to close the case.
Kat isn’t.
As she continues the investigation, a small circle of suspects begins to emerge—each with something to hide, each with a reason to want the victim dead. The deeper Kat digs, the more the story unravels, exposing contradictions, long buried secrets, and a past that refuses to stay buried.
Because this isn’t just another case.
Twelve years ago, on the same dock, Kat lost everything.
Now the truth is circling back.
With pressure mounting from inside the department and the clock ticking toward a wrongful arrest, Kat must untangle a web of lies before the real killer disappears for good.
Everyone is a suspect.
Everyone is lying.
The only question is—can you figure out the truth before she does?
Hi guys,I released my seventh novel a few weeks ago. It's on Amazon in paperback and KU. The audiobook is being narrated now. I'd be delighted if you'd check it out.
'When a well-connected aristocrat known for cruelty is shot dead at his ancestral estate, the precision of the hit tells its own story. This was planned, funded, and meant to send a message. Two masked gunmen vanish without a trace.
For Detective Inspector Bob Davis rules are optional and tact is overrated. His partner, Detective Sergeant Jodie Taylor, is determined to prove herself. But the victim’s past turns out to be darker than anyone expected and the deeper they dig, the more dangerous it becomes. The more enemies they make.
Soon, Davis and Taylor aren’t just investigating a murder. They’re uncovering a secret tied to powerful figures who will do anything to keep it buried…
How hard do you push to uncover the truth, knowing that you may not survive it?'
Hi everyone!I'm Daniel Laz, a Hungarian author writing literary crime fiction in English, and I'd like to introduce the Frankie Voss Series.
Francesca "Frankie" Voss isn't a detective—she's a forensic consultant. She doesn't chase suspects so much as reconstruct forgotten truths from evidence, photographs, and official records that were never meant to be questioned.
The series follows Frankie through five cities:
VOSS: Scene Documentation: Budapest
VOSS: Scene Documentation: Tokyo
VOSS: Scene Documentation: Istanbul
VOSS: Scene Documentation: New York
VOSS: Scene Documentation: Saint Petersburg
The story begins in New York but quickly moves to Budapest, where an old forensic report forces Frankie to reopen a case she once believed was solved. What starts as a single investigation gradually uncovers a much larger story involving history, memory, and institutional silence.
Although the five novels were published over a three-month period, they were researched, written, and developed together over more than two years before publication, allowing the entire series to evolve as one continuous story.
If you enjoy literary crime fiction, slow-burn mysteries, forensic investigations, and international settings, I hope the Frankie Voss series might be of interest.
I'm happy to provide a complimentary EPUB copy of VOSS: Scene Documentation: Budapest, the first novel in the series, to interested readers.
If you enjoy Frankie's first investigation, I'd be delighted to share the remaining books as well.
For book clubs and discussion groups, I've also created:
Official Book Club Edition
Reading Companion for each novel
The Frankie Voss Series Reading Companion
These discussion materials are available free of charge.
If you decide to read the novel, I'd genuinely appreciate an honest review on Goodreads or Amazon—but above all, I'd simply love to hear your thoughts.
Thank you for welcoming me to the group.
Daniel Laz
Hi everyone,I'm Daniel Laz, author of the Frankie Voss series.
The first novel, VOSS: Scene Documentation: Budapest, introduces forensic consultant Francesca "Frankie" Voss, who reconstructs forgotten truths from crime scene evidence, historical records, and official documents rather than relying on traditional detective work.
The series currently includes five novels:
VOSS: Scene Documentation: Budapest
VOSS: Scene Documentation: Tokyo
VOSS: Scene Documentation: Istanbul
VOSS: Scene Documentation: New York
VOSS: Scene Documentation: Saint Petersburg
If you enjoy literary crime fiction, slow-burn mysteries, forensic investigations, and internationally set stories in the tradition of John le Carré and Tana French, I hope the series might appeal to you.
I'd be happy to provide a complimentary EPUB copy of Budapest to anyone genuinely interested in reading it. Honest feedback is always appreciated, but never expected.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I'm looking forward to discovering your books as well.
Daniel
