Sofia Very different sort of book that I think you would deeply enjoy if you haven't heard of it- 'Dear Genius: The Letters of Ursula Nordstrom', a book of the letters of Ursula Nordstrom to her sundry picture book authors and illustrators- she was a genuis editor and one of the main forces in the 20th century transforming children's literature from dry moralistic tales to the weird exciting imaginative picture book world that emerged mid-century. It's a lovely collection if you can find it.

I actually learned of this book last week! Ursula Nordstrom has been a figure I know about via reading about other literary figures for a while-- last year I read Maurice Sendak's book Caldecott and Company and I've also read about her beef with Anne Carroll Moore... thanks for recommending <3
