... but Jamieson spins snarky straw into golden verse that cast their glimmer across the dark caverns of my heart like a planetarium when I read her work -- that is poetry in motion right there, S., such a lovely review. 🤍
This is a beautiful review! I had seen that spring poem on social media as well - it is so good! I think I would enjoy this book too, love the excerpts you pulled here.

Thank you so much! YEA I really love that one, I did a kind of crappy painting for it recently even haha. Glad you enjoyed!
This review is a poem in itself—thank you for capturing everything that makes Jamieson's work so powerful. The way you describe her poetry as “sharp, pointy teeth” that still manage to glimmer is spot-on. I’ve always felt like her lines hold both tenderness and a steel edge, like a hug with a warning. That bit about The Tower being your favorite card and the link to her themes? Chills. Literal chills. Also, ‘Fall in love—sign me up for future sadness’ might just be tattoo-worthy.”
Also- I am Finally free from finals—craving some poetry recs! Something raw, honest, and hits you right in the heart. Would love to know your faves?!

wow thank you so much! Especially since this comment is poetry in its own right. YES! I love the Tower so much. Speaking of tattoo worthy--which that is definitely a good tattoo line, I'm getting The Tower on my forearm soon, finishing my new one on my other arm first but it is next....
And YAY glad you are free! Hope they went well. Ooooo okay so I am currently OBSESSED with the new Victoria Chang: With My Back to the World: Poems
But also I picked up Finger Exercises for Poets and Laux has SUCH good poems in there but reading her commentary and aiming it as a workshop is super helpful too (I'm using it in part for a poetry workshop I'm running once a month at the library starting next week.,..a bit nervous still). Another I need to review but really blew me away was Liontaming in America by Elizabeth Willis. It's weird and like...prose poetry that goes through various histories but its fascinating and the style is really cool. Hope those are some help!
