Anya Brilliant review, Seth. Thank you for putting this book on my radar! ^_^ I loved it so much.

Seth T. Awesome! I'm glad to have helped. I still follow the series rabidly and get so excited with each new volume. Both my wife and I adore it and every last person I've loaned it to fall in love as well. For whatever reason, I've only been able to persuade women to read it :\

Vishakha ~ ReadingSpren ~ amazing review !

and @seth- I hate to stereotype but it IS is a trend that women are ready to read a man's a story but not the other way around. But I am sure you will find people who are interested in the STORY rather than the gender of the protagonist!

Seth T. Vishakha - Thanks! And yeah, that trend is so bizarre to me. I've always loved well-composed stories, whether the protagonist is some reflection of me or not. Reading stories about other kinds of people may even be better than reading about people like me because I live with me all the time and already know how I see the world. So much more interesting to encounter other people through fiction.

Vishakha ~ ReadingSpren ~ Exactly! couldn't have said it better :)

MasterSal Great review!

message 7: by Nazanin (new)

Nazanin Noori Manga represent Tajik traditional attire so It can’t be kzakhstan but i think it’s Badakhshan or some other place in Tajik ethnic land in Central Asia

message 8: by Ari (new)

Ari That manga shows the Tajik culture and traditional clothing and not the Kazakh! Tajik culture is east Iranian and Kazakh is Turkic!

Seth T. I dunno what to tell you guys. Maybe Mori did bad research on her outfits, but the story travels down south around the Aral Sea and then eventually east to the Caspian Sea and then on to Ankara (Mori is specific on these locations), so that's starting out in Kazakhstan.
