Hi I'm David, I'm new not just to good reads but to be honest the whole social aspect of book reading in general.

I have just published my debut novel which is what has really propelled me towards good reads.

My first and only published work was released to the public in 2010. I had/have every intention to write more and alas, I have retired and cannot find the time. Ha! Ha!

I'm like what my dad always said, "Since I retired, I'm so busy, I don't know how I found time to work."

I've been on Goodreads for a while but never connected with its purpose until this week. My profile sat half completed for years, which was interesting to remember what I was doing then.
Then yesterday, I downloaded the app and discovered groups. "Wait," I said out loud, disturbing my wife's peaceful evening. "I've been missing out on getting to know other authors, writers, and bloggers?"
Here I am, hopeful of connecting with others, growing as a writer, and maybe along the way, having a few of my books read. To that, I say, "Cool!"
