John Seegers Hey all, I may be the first to post on this new group. I am John Seegers, author of two books about walking the Camino de Santiago, a pilgrimage walk to Santiago de Compostela, where the relics of Saint James the Greater, apostle to Jesus Christ, are kept. My first book is about my walk on the Camino Frances, detailed in "Another Camino Story." My second walk is detailed in "My Way on the Camino Portuguese." I also published an ebook of poems written in my youth. Visit my author site at www.johnseegers.com. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Sarah D. Hello everyone, I too am new here. I'm Sarah D, from the sunny shores of a coastal state called Goa in India. I love writing, and my book is called 'Those Blue Eyes: A Raw Story Of Awkward Love'. I feel like my characters are quite interesting go-getter types, and they have a little quirkiness in them. I recently discovered my love for writing and decided to write a book. Pls google my book on Amazon. Have a lovely day.

John Rutherford Greetings fellow scribblers!

It has always been a passion of mine to write. This is the right time in my life to sit down and pick up the pen. After years of traveling like a gypsy around this beautiful planet we all have the privilege to experience each day, I started to write and publish children’s stories, mythical stories, stories that are inspired by poems, Chicken Soup stories, and stories from my adventurous past. It’s time in my life to be creative, and to use my imagination. With the first step taken, like a lot of my life, I don’t have any idea where the journey will take me.

I write a variety of genre, children's and adult's stories, and currently have 56 titles including 5 books. You can find them all on Goodreads

Here is my website link https://johnrutherfordbooks.com/

I also post short stories to a weekly competition named Reedsy Prompts, and you can find some of my stories here.

My current bookshelf on Amazon is here

I wish you all a wonderful day, a week, month and year!

Yours truly John

H. Alesso Hello,

I'm H. Peter Alesso, reader and author. I'm interested in discussing how book discovery has changed from the Amazon search algorithm to AI chat.

I've recently found that my books are not easily accessible using ChatGPT.

When a reader inputs a generic prompt in ChatGPT, such as "find a science fiction book with a young hero in the military," the results, while extensive, may leave my books out or place them far down the list.

I'm looking for ways to enhance the Web profile of my publications so that AI can discover my books.

Any comments?

Bob Rich I am Bob Rich from a little country town in Australia. It is the metropolis of Healesville, which has WONDERFUL sunsets thanks to the air pollution of its outlying western suburb Melbourne.
My 20th book took flight in June: dedicated to my daughter who died in December: "The Hole in Your Life: Grief and Bereavement."
You need this book when your world falls apart, whether because of the loss of a loved person, other disasters like bankruptcy, divorce or natural disaster, or “merely” experiencing second-hand grief at all the suffering we see on the news.
I have free short stories (well, they should never be imprisoned) and other good stuff at https://bobrich18.wordpress.com

J.F. Hopper Hello fellow scribblers, ink-dwellers, and indie dreamers!

I’m J.F. Hopper, but around the firelight of my fiction, I’m also known as Lirian Ever-Weaver—bard of Mórradún, keeper of stubborn memories, and stirrer of emotional chaos (mostly on purpose).

I write The Fianna Chronicles, a mythic fantasy series rooted in Celtic lore, where memory holds magic, names have teeth, and even the shadows wear masks. It’s full of found family, ancient oaths, whispered betrayals, and at least one goose who remembers being royalty. (Yes, really.)

I’m here to cheer you on, discover new reads, and maybe swap tales from the storytelling trenches. If you enjoy bardic vibes, moody magic, or characters arguing with destiny over pints of myth, we’ll get along just fine.

You can find my work here if curiosity strikes:

I just launched my latest book, a post-apocalyptic eco-fiction entitled "Black Corrosion", which is the third book in the "Corrosion" trilogy. And I'm working hard on my next book, a space opera with a dash of horror, "The Cursed".

Katie O'Rourke I'm a hybrid author with experience in traditional (Hachette), crowd-sourced (KindleScout) , indie (Type Eighteen Books), and self-publishing. I have six published novels and a collection of short stories. All of my novels are avaialable as audio books.

I write family sagas with overlapping characters, so they're all connected. The stories in these books exist on their own and can be read in any order, independently from each other. They’re not sequels, but because all of the characters live in the same world, there's an opportunity to revisit the past. Readers of Monsoon Season will find a familiar face in Finding Charlie; if you’re still wondering about Juliet when you finish A Long Thaw, look for her in Blood & Water.

Terry Birdgenaw I am an Indie author publishing under my own imprint, Cyborg Insect Books. My trilogy, The Antunite Chronicles, has received multiple Indie book awards from Readers' Favorite Chanticleer, Bookfest, Entrada Incipere, and others. They have received excellent reviews with average 4.5 or above ratings on Goodreads and Amazon. Yet despite multiple reviewers calling them modern-day classics and comparing them to Animal Farm, Brave New World, Dune, and 1984, sales are slow. Give them a look. I'm sure you'll love them.

Michelle Hi everyone, my name is Michelle Donald.

I’m passionate about helping indie authors succeed, not just with publishing but with visibility and discoverability. Many great books get lost because of things like keywords, categories, and blurbs — and that’s where I step in. I focus on metadata optimization and simple launch strategies that make books easier for readers to actually find.

I’m here to learn, connect, and share practical tips with fellow authors. Excited to be part of this group and to support where I can!

Monette Bebow-Reinhard Hello everyone, and I'm glad to be here. I will admit I joined Goodreads some years ago but have never mastered the use of this. Maybe by joining a group like this I'll be encouraged to give it another go. Like most authors, I struggle with marketing. And it doesn't matter how you're published. But if your book has a ready market, such as my first two novels which are Bonanza fanfic, authorized by the creator of the TV series, not a lot of marketing is necessary. How to get those readers to read my other books, that's the hard part. Looking forward to getting to know everyone. You can see more at my blog site at wordpress, but I'll be darned if I remember the whole thing. Oh, okay it's bebowbooks.wordpress.com - see you all around!

Shoshi Herscu Greetings fellow scribers!

I loved writing in my childhood but writing chose me. In 2017, I felt called to share with the world the information that I've gathered since 2013. I felt it in my belly. Then, the writing adventure began as I had no clue how to write such a book that seemed so complex; so many topics that seemed to be totally unrelated.
I'm an investigative journalist and activist from Israel. My book, Mass Awakening, tells the story of my personal awakening, as well as that of all humanity, to the massive deception of the world’s Elite controllers and their devastating agendas. It is an exposé on dark agendas and how people are fighting back offering hope for the future.
I could’ve gone into denial, but Mass Awakening is my way of “fighting back” by documenting humanity awakening to these generational abusers.
Here is my website link https://massawakening.org/

C. S. Dexter Hello, My name is C. S. Dexter. I have written many books under pen names, but only one under my own name. I have written non-fiction, YA Fantasy, and Paranormal Cozy Mysteries. One book has won an award. I'm not sure how Goodreads works. I signed up for it in 2014 and never came back to it until today. I've been writing since grade school. I have written articles and school plays that have been performed at my school. I wrote a Christmas Play that a neighborhood Church put on repeatedly. Sadly, they always forgot to invite me to the show, but people raved about it afterward each year. I have written for my University when they asked me to write an online college course. I won a University award for a short screenplay I wrote about an actual event from World War II. Unfortunately, none of the film faculty's choices among the student filmmakers could turn it into a short film. Finding a war-torn-looking village and war-related vehicles was a problem. Now I write books while I keep my disabled daughter company.

She learn her and this guy are both running for the same job at the Museum that is about to open. Before learning what position they are running for she learns these two guys she has fallen for are one of the same.

All For A Buck : A story of three friends in their Senior year of high school get drafted into the Vietnam war before finishing high school. You read of their dreams being cut off,the war and the cruel return home. Their struggles getting a job and getting blamed for a murder. Court and their bonds the one thing the war could not take from them become the court fight that puts them back together for justice.

message 38: by Rose (new)

Rose R. Sales I’m Rose R. Sales, also known online as Amaranthine Briar and Akahana. My journey as a writer began on Facebook, where I started sharing my thoughts and poems from the heart. What began as a quiet creative outlet eventually blossomed into a lifelong calling. Today, I’m a registered author under the National Book Development Board of the Philippines, and I continue to grow alongside the community that first inspired me.

As an author, poet, and storyteller, I find beauty in both the ache and the healing of life. My debut poetry collection, When Spring Arrives, explores themes of love, longing, and emotional renewal. My second book, Tears Into Stars, is a deeply personal reflection on faith, pain, and divine love—a collection rooted in finding hope and light through God’s grace. I’ve also had the joy of collaborating with fellow Filipino and international writers in various poetry and short story anthologies.

Beyond writing, I’m passionate about music and singing—forms of art that harmonize beautifully with my poetry. I also founded Letters to the Universe, my flagship literary page on Facebook, which now has over 40,000 followers and continues to grow. Through this platform and the Astral Souls Writerhood, I’ve been able to build a space where writers can share their voices and stories freely.

I never imagined I’d one day hold my own books in my hands, but writing has become my sanctuary—a way to connect, heal, and express what words often struggle to contain. I write not just to be heard, but to remind others that they’re not alone in their journeys.

Peter Benton Hi, I'm Peter Benton, #135 by my count on this here joint. Writer of the only romantic fempower fantasy on the market – prove me wrong.
The Drysau Ceudodol trilogy is about how a contemporary couple in their best years, settled in a comfortable, but unequal relationship that experience a most upsetting challenge by absurdly inverting their ingrained gender identities as they are thrust into an alternate world where we learn why a male God was so upset about Eve tasting the apple.
Like all "Eves" in this world, the Earth woman cannot resist the temptation either, and the consequences have her desperate to patch up her relationship with her hypercompetitive man, who has the greatest difficulties adjusting to new, unsettling realities...

Marcha Fox Greetings, fellow authors! My most recent books are "The Curse of Dead Horse Canyon" trilogy that you can learn about on the website that includes book trailer videos. https://www.dead-horse-canyon.com. They're cross-cultural conspiracy thrillers with a Native American protagonist returning to his indigenous roots to solve his best friend's murder. If you're on KU you can pick up the entire trilogy for free until December 7 when I'm taking it off KU so I can offer it elsewhere.

I also write hard sci-fi that integrates real science into the plot. It's mainly for middle grade nerds who love science but adults have enjoyed the 5-book series, too. You can start with "The Terra Debacle: Prisoners at Area 51" which is an independent side story with a telepathic walking plant as the main character. It includes a touch of humor with the suspense as a NASA astrobiologist studies him. https://www.startrailssaga.com.
