The Great Halloween 2025 Book Giveaway > Likes and Comments
my favorite horror movie changes by the day but lately it's been Bring Her Back. Not for any specific reason I can think of but the ending was such a gut punch in the feels that it's stuck with me months later.
honestly i have so many favorite horror movies i cannot possibly choose just one! i think my comfort horror movie i could watch any time, any place is the shining. as for more recent, i really like it follows and hereditary! i also really loved weapons from this year too.
My favorite horror movie right now is Significant Other. I've watched it a bunch of times hehe. It is scary but also funny and addresses mental health in a really cool way.
My favorite horror movie of all time is Evil dead two! It is the movie that cemented my love for horror at a very, very young age and also what made me want to get into the film industry! It’s goofy. It’s scary. It’s over the top. It’s just in my opinion and altogether perfect horror flick.
I did also wanna say I am having the issue again where on a mobile device versus my computer I’m not seeing the rules. I see the picture of the scary monster thing reading the book, but that’s it and then I just see the comments after it but using my computer, it works perfectly. I have a iPhone 16 if that matters or helps out.

*IF ANYONE ELSE can't see the rules in post #1, they are simply, just post on this thread if you want to enter. Only 1 entry per person. 2 winners selected randomly. US only due to postage costs. If you like, share your fave horror film.
My all-time favorite horror movie is The Eye from 2002. Not the remake with Jessica Alba. That was horrible! The original is super scary, freakishly wicked, and super dark. I loved every moment.
All time favorite horror movie is Scream. It changed the génère and kick started modern horror and it holds us.
Laddy wrote: "I did also wanna say I am having the issue again where on a mobile device versus my computer I’m not seeing the rules. I see the picture of the scary monster thing reading the book, but that’s it a..."I've tried moving the pic to the bottom of the post.
Does that make a difference? Can you see the entire post with the rules now?
I have two. Cloverfield is my Creature Feature top choice. I saw it at the theater while I was pregnant with my daughter, and it made her jump so much. Funnily enough, it's her favorite movie. My other favorite is 28 Days Later in the Zombie category. But I love all Horror movies, even bad ones.
Kelly wrote: "Mines definitely John Carpenter’s The Fog. Great back story and just some chilling moments."After seeing The Fog, I've always wanted to be on a beach at midnight hearing someone tell ghost stories by a driftwood fire.
The original Texas chainsaw massacre or terrifier 2 are my two favorites, hard to pick between the two
I have the same problem as Laddy lol. But good to know it works best on the computer, I’ll hop on over there from now on. 🫡 Also, I can’t choose just one, but Shaun of The Dead is one of my favorites and I’ve been wanting to watch it like crazy lately lmao.
I see “Once again, it’s time for a Halloween book giveaway” and I see the photo of the book but that’s it. I wish I could screen shot it and send a pic lol
My favorite is A Haunting in Connecticut! Loved it when the story was originally featured on the Discovery Channel and love that they turned it into a movie adaptation
I have one too many favorites, lol. to name JUST ONE, recently, it was the sixth movie of the Final Destination Bloodline movie.
Hmmm I knew a picture could mess things up, but didn't realize a link could also. Another reason I will never use the app.
Favorite horror movie? Oh, that's sooo difficult as I love so many of them. I'm gonna to say 1987's "The Lost Boys" (swoon!) and John Carpenter's "The Thing". (not swoon! That scene where their blood is being tested... omg!)
Alan wrote: "Hmmm I knew a picture could mess things up, but didn't realize a link could also. Another reason I will never use the app."WTH kind of crappy app is it that it can't handle a pic or a link?
I've never used it but I have to think anyone using the GR app is missing most of what this site offers.
Yeah, in my version of the app it also doesn’t let you reply. Edit or delete comments, but I just got on my computer and change the language from my previous, it was supposed to say screenshot.

app people really are missing a lot. i had never used my laptop before a week ago and when i logged in i was mind blown by everything i could now do. like i couldn't even remove books from my currently reading list that i had given up on
Hmm it changes frequently but I’d have to say The Conjuring, Barbarian, and Sinister. I can’t pick just one!!
My favorite movie is Nightbreed based on the book Cabal by Clive Barker. Barker was involved with the movie and I always thought it needed a sequel but it never happened 😢
This is a hard pick! But Im going to go with ol' reliable and make it Silence of the Lambs because I can watch that movie over and over and just never get sick of it!
Friday the 13 part 6: Jason Lives. I first saw it when I was 12 in 1992 & it changed my life… hooked me on horror from then on.
My favorite horror movie is Rose Red. Love a good haunted house story (i better since i own 3 copies of the dvd) and it's finally streaming on Hulu!
I grew up with the nightmare on rile street franchise. The idea of someone creeping into your dreams and using your nightmares against you was a terrifying thought. Lived Army of darkness. Also the B flicks like killer clowns from outer space. The old ones like the blob. Kitschy ones like hocus pocus. I just love horror and Halloween. Autumn is my favorite season.
