I'm so sorry my stories felt that way to you. My title story is meant to address the sexism with Mexican culture and the Catholic religion; and the stories set in older times reflect the sexist roles relegated to women in those times. As a writer who attempts to address bigotry in all its forms, I am truly saddened that you felt this way about my collection. But I respect your reaction, and I appreciate that you read my book. Did you appreciate the women characters in my lonest story of the collection, "Los Otros Coyotes"?
