Ms.pegasus Glad you knew enough about history to realize how misleading the book was.

Gordon Doherty Hi Marc. I don't normally respond to reviews as when i see other authors doing it it usually comes off as bitter or angry or something. I'm none of those things.
Just wanted to say that the Sumerian segment you mentioned was supposed to be a court member being clever by using a supposedly dead language to pass an insult, but the character it was aimed at is actually more learned than the man, and understands it. I guess the fact that I have to explain this means I was overly subtle about that in the script - my bad.
And I totally understand the map with 'Ahhiyawa' throwing you. If I had done a better job and kept you reading, you'd see that I don't in any way portray it as a nation, but as a collection of rival city states. 'Ahhiyawa' was really just my presentation of the Hittite-centric view of the world (as in 'that lot over there beyond the Trojan coast').

Anyway, thanks for feeding these things back to me and I'm sorry I turned you off. Happy reading in future,
Gordon
