If yall have tips for writing, please, and I mean please share!

Hi! I stumbled upon this question early this morning, and wow... what a nice way to start the day.

I just published my first book this September, so trust me, I’m still figuring things out like everyone else here. Instead of giving “tips,” I just want to share how I personally got started.

Since my story came from my own life experiences, outlining wasn’t too hard for me. I already had the ending in mind from the start. From there, I worked backward... trying to figure out how my characters could realistically reach that ending. That helped me shape the story step by step.

When I started writing, I didn’t worry too much about structure or perfect sentences. I just poured everything in my head straight onto the page, chapter by chapter. And honestly? That’s when the real challenge began... editing!

It took me about three full months to revise my manuscript, and I even ended up deleting three whole chapters because the pacing didn’t work.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that writing is mostly editing.
Anyway, I hope this little story helps someone out there who’s just starting too.
