I like it when someone is detailed in their criticism, so thank you. In general, I can assure you that most people I talk to genuinely like the book, but everyone is entitled to their opinion. I agree with some of your points (eg stadium and concert, but that was intended to show the development of the renewed relationship of the main characters. No, I didn't run out of steam, but I acknowledge I could have extended the story to have more of a wrap up (eg auction), but then the book would have been too long. Re the editing, this was done by two professionals (not me), and I have had no similar comments. Once again, thanks for elaborating.
