message 1: by Reader (new)

Reader The accused have now had plenty of time to respond, and have not contested her accounts, with few minor differences.

message 2: by Chris (new)

Chris Carson Patty is a MAGAT who refuses to believe what her own eyes witnessed on January 6th.

message 3: by Patty (new)

Patty Duplechin Some people got their feelings hurt

message 4: by Barb (new)

Barb Did YOU read it? Cheney covers this in her book. Because McCarthy withdrew his Republican nominees from committee consideration there were none to challenge other committee members. Kevin McCarthy and House Republicans did this to themselves.

message 5: by Eve (new)

Eve Castle I’m pretty sure Liz Cheney voted for Trump in 2016. Cheney is a conservative Christian to this day. She talks about the heartbreak she feels to see how other Republicans she knew all her life are not digging beyond the shiny surface.

message 6: by Christopher (new)

Christopher Barwick Silly patty. Not very bright

message 7: by Desiree (new)

Desiree Cooper Liz Cheney voted for Trump in 2020 and regrets it. I am sure that her votes for him were more due to Republican Policies than anything else. The book is specifically about January 6th and forward. I doubt anybody who gives this a 1 star rating has read the book.

message 8: by Patricia (new)

Patricia Spindel Desiree Cooper - my thoughts exactly. Patty didn't read it.

message 9: by Mike (new)

Mike Dorothy Shame on you Patty.I saw you other reply and you couldn’t even spell her name right.Have you actually read a book or do you just use social media to get your facts.

message 10: by Carole (new)

Carole Your comments are typical of Trump lovers who refuse to look at both sides of an issue. Your idolatry is sickening and is blinding you from the truth. In this country we do not have Kings who one is forced to worship.

message 11: by Jim (new)

Jim Murray Patty did not read it and unfortunately there are too many Pattys in the US.

message 12: by Julie (new)

Julie The preponderance of evidence confirms everything in this book. You are allowing yourself to be duped.

message 13: by Gayla (new)

Gayla It is highly unlikely that “Patty” read this book or watched the Select Committee hearings. How sad that willful ignorance and unwillingness to recognize provable facts continues to propel millions of Trump loyalists to ignore the danger of another Trump presidency. Thank goodness his base is much to small to make that possible because most Americans have availed themselves of the truth. Cheney’s skillfully written account should be required reading in every civics class. Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger are national heroes. I appreciate her willingness to call out all the bad actors by name! Vote them out!

message 14: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer 1. This is America. The accused are always given a chance to defend themselves. If they choose not to, as many of Trump’s lackeys have done, that's on them.
2. Everyone who was alive on January 6 should be a never-Trumper, although as many others have said, Liz voted for Trump in both 2016 and 2020. If you want to meet an original never-Trumper, here I am.
3. Her book IS the truth, as scary as it is for you to admit it.
4. Read it.
5. The videos back up everything she says in the book, especially if you watch the uncut, unedited ones (NOT the ones put out there by Tucker).
6. Again, Patty, READ IT. READ IT!!!!

message 15: by Dave (new)

Dave Millar I’d wager a good amount of amount that you didn’t actually read the book. She LIVED the insurrection and her colleagues cowardice.

message 16: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Please read the book, Patty. The truth hurts.

message 17: by Kevin (new)

Kevin Mcgonigal A lot of direct quotes and not a single lawsuit claiming she lied 🤔. Break free of the cult Patty

message 18: by Greg Kelley (new)

Greg Kelley Patty, you should actually read the book. There’s pictures and videos of what actually happened that day. Orange lost 60 of 61 lawsuits, many with trump appointed judges. Character matters, and orange has the worst character of any president we’ve had. Your choices reflect upon your character, too.

message 19: by Michael (new)

Michael Shayeson They were given the opportunity to defend themselves but were too spineless to follow through and come before the committee. Perhaps you will be satisfied during Mr. Trump’s trials where he can have all the opportunity he wants to defend himself. Won’t happen but he’ll lie to you and tell you how poorly he’s been treated.

message 20: by Louie (new)

Louie Leue Our education system has obviously failed so many in this country. Watching or listening to one-sided pundits, or swiping through short social media snippets is the extent of information that is comfortable…reading a book must be painful.

message 21: by Walleye23 (new)

Walleye23 There are people who are fed a constant diet of lies, remarkably, it’s impossible for them to read anything, do research or hear anything to the contrary. It’s so sad.

message 22: by Marsha (new)

Marsha Sad, you didn't read the book. Everyone mentioned had time to defend themselves, as you would have known if you had bothered. What may scare you about the book is the facts, they can be scary. It's far easier to stomp your feet and demand your way

message 23: by GetRalph (new)

GetRalph The first step to being buried by ignorance is putting your head in the sand! Make believe Trump wrote it then you’ll see the horror!

message 24: by Bobbi (new)

Bobbi Lewis One of the hardest things to do is to change a firmly held belief. This book is filled with verifiable information and everyone was invited to testify but some refused. If they hadn’t been complicit in the events of the day they would surely have come forward.

message 25: by Ali (new)

Ali I am confused by this review - the accused were given the opportunity to defend themselves. They took the fifth and fought the committee furiously to not do so.

message 26: by Sonny (new)

Sonny Go ahead. Confess that you didn't even read the book.

message 27: by MaryAlice (new)

MaryAlice Brainwashed MAWA. Sad people chose loyalty to a serial liar over loyalty to the USA.

MAGA GOP deals in lies for the easily led; Liz and decent Republicans deal in facts.

message 28: by Sara (new)

Sara B Wow, so you didn’t even attempt to read it.

message 29: by Steve (new)

Steve Scibilia Go watch some more Fox News and listen to only what your orange lord tells you. Disgraceful.

message 30: by Stacy (new)

Stacy Carroll She actually voted for Trump, so your claim she’s a never-Trumper is completely inaccurate. She only stopped supporting him after the January 6th insurrection
