While this was on my mother‘s shelf, I thankfully dodged this bullet.
Thank you for this review. While I would never currently read a book like this one, I so appreciate your review for the many women who would, who are tempted by such shaming narratives. I know far too many women who fall into traps like this, as I almost did when I was younger.
The teen version of this book, ‘lies young women believe’ screwed me up so much. I’m *still* unlearning stuff from that book, even in my early 30’s. Thank you Sheila - as ever you are a beacon of light and hope and sanity💛
