Impalpable stains, indeed! This review, shelved as “inexplicabilis” is my favorite thing today. 😂 It also has me questioning my penchant for sordid and dismal fiction. This was a 5 star read for me!

I honestly had trouble connecting the language with anteasonable meaning. It happens sometimes.
Maybe the translation was difficult. Catalan is a rich language, and its musicality and cadence, its flow and rhythm, are difficult to preserve in other languages. The original version is not an easy read either.
It could well be a translation issue. For me the metaphors just didn't land in English.
