Now I have to add this to my never ending TBR list lol
I have been curious about this one! So glad you approved before I ordered :) I always appreciate your input lol
Agree! I just finished the audiobook with many tears shed, perfect ending, clever story, great characters.
Reminded me so much of The Measure as well. Interestingly, I disliked The Measure and really enjoyed this book.
After reading through the other reviews I wonder if the audiobook is an exception. This is the first book I have ever listened to in its entirety and I love it. I only get pieces of the story because of the delivery method but find a highly unlikely scenario absolutely believable! If I were reading it I think I would be constantly criticizing the premise. I agree, I love the reader!
I began listening to the audio and it reminded me so much of The Measurements which I thought the concept was intriguing but thought the storyline was just okay and a little too drawn out. The strong similarities made me stop reading it. Maybe I’ll have to give it another try though.
I loved the book, but did an audio book and my only downside was being able to follow the chapters easily. There was a lot of back and forth. That being said, I love Liane Moriarty as an author and this was no exception.
I totally agree with your assessment and comparison to The Measure. This one is started a little slow for me, but the last 1/3 - great. I loved how many connections there were among the people. That follows the mathematical probability trends!
I also compared it with The Measure which a read this year as well. I agree with some reviewers that the booked dragged here and there, but in the end I was glad I stuck it out. And I did like the ending….
If you liked this audiobook, other Laine Moriarty books are also narrated by the narrator that voices Cherry. She’s fantastic!
I am listening to the audiobook now and finding it hard to determine who is who. I had to go get the book too.
Caroline Lee is such a gift, and since I do most of my reading on audiobook these days, I have to give a lot of credit Caroline Lee for how much I enjoy each of Liane Moriarty's books because she has become a big reason for how much I enjoy each new release - she's the perfect narrator for Liane Moriarty's stories, characters, and touch of humor.
I really enjoyed it on audiobook as well. I don’t think I would’ve gotten as much out of it if I hadn’t listened to it with the Australian accent, etc. I also came to this after reading a super heavy book so I needed something that I didn’t have to really think about.
This was our book clubs selection . And we discussed yesterday . Overall all liked. One loved giving it a 4.9 Initially was hard to keep up with all characters . A couple did do audio format & commented narrator was great . So next book I read of hers I will do that format . I also really liked how all ends were tied up . As one of her contemporary reviewers on book jacket stated . She landed it on a dime.
I agree here, excellent book and the audio was very enjoyable, which i truly appreciated as it isn't always.
