CBRetriever you might want to put this in the Recommendations and lost books section instead of the section for official Monthly Group Reads

Melanie I moved this into the correct folder for you Richard.

Melanie It seems like your kiddo prefers scifi. If he liked Maze Runner he should also like Red Rising. Mature rating on that one though.

Maybe The Hunger Games and Divergent. They have female protagonists.

Colin I would second The Hunger Games, the trilogy and the two prequels (The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and Sunrise on the Reaping).

Depending on the acceptability of darker and more adult themes, also consider RF Kuang's trilogy beginning with The Poppy War.

CBRetriever not a series, but some of the early Robert Heinlein books are good for teens and pre-teens

Anna Younger or older YA? Tripods and Maze Runner read much younger to me than general YA, so just checking! Helps people to recommend better options.

Maybe the Chaos Walking series by Patrick Ness, starts with The Knife of Never Letting Go.

Possibly the Unwind series by Neal Shusterman, but check the contents first if he is younger.

Those are the two YA "boy" scifi series I can think of right now.

And obviously Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan, starting with The Lightning Thief, if he wants to try fantasy again.

If he is still a younger teen, then possibly something from Books for children might be of interest, but the majority of recs there are MG and younger. Also check out SFF recs for a teen.

Oh and take a look at this maybe: https://imaginationsoup.net/best-scie...
