Riley Knight Hi, I'm planning to unpublish one of my books and would like it removed from my author account. I understand you like to keep these books on Goodreads, but is it possible to no longer associate it under my name?

Thank you!

Riley Knight
Death of the Glass Angel

Shim No. For any user that added/reviewed this book, it would be confusing for it to be associated with a different author account.

Riley Knight Is there no way to mark the book as no longer available?

It is still showing on Amazon for me, but happy to write 'Not Availablle' when it is removed.

It doesn't matter whether it is no longer available here. Goodreads is for readers of books old and new..

Riley Knight One more question - I'm planning to release a second version with significant changes. Will merging these versions overwrite the old version?

message 7: by Scott (new)

Scott Will it have the same ASIN?

message 8: by Riley (new)

Riley Knight No. Legally it will require a new ISBN and ASIN since it will be changed significantly enough to be a new version.

Scott Then the new editions will simply be connected to the old ones.

Emily Goodreads' solution for this is to give authors the ability to make the newer edition the default that shows in searches and on your author page. Once your newer edition has details you can do that.
