Although this review is nicely written, it is incorrect. This story is not about a General's daughter, and although the protagonist, Cara, struggles to reconcile her roles in life and forge a new role for herself, it is not connected to military extended family. Actually, she falls in love with General Sam Kennedy, but you'll need to read the book to understand why.
