In my opinion it is the best book I’ve ever read. I have read it 9 times till now and it brings me a great comfort. I am sorry that you couldn’t find the same in this book :)
Listen to it. Reading it was hard for me but i Listened with narration by Will Poulter and i promise you will change you mind

Lmfaoo man I’m almost halfway through it and even though I do love parts of it, I have to agree with you…
That's my exact feeling. It took me a whole damn week to read it and when i finished it i just couldn't find out WHY did i waste my time...this is the worst book i have ever read
Hahaha. The book might seem dense to many because Dostoevsky wrote it in parts and often in a hurry. I read somewhere that he was living almost like a destitute and was in dire need of money. When he got the contract for this book, the publishers kept the pressure on him, so he wrote it in pieces and often rushed to meet deadlines.
