Sorry I couldn't give it more stars. I think you can write for the general public, it's just that the story needs to be more believable. I don't know you, obviously, but my guess is you're rather young and your motivation to write came from your fantasies. There's nothing wrong with having fantasies, everybody has them. However, practice shows that, in most cases, when you actually try those things, they generally don't live up to your expectations. Or, if they prove to be true for one person, they won't work for somebody else. Do your research, try out things for yourself, talk to many other people who have tried them, and write from experience. Also, don't make your PoV character a genius writer if you can't come up with the thoughts such a writer might have. B thinks and talks like a regular girl, not like someone with a high education and prize-winning novels. Keep writing and I wish you the best. A big hug.
