I believe the "Jack Slater" writing the "Deep State" novel with Jason Trapp as the protagonist is a different author from the "Jack Slater" writing this book with the Pete Gayle protagonist. This is confusing to say the least, but this book is written by an author in the UK. The other author (the one you are commenting on) is US based.
Thank you, Doug, you're quite correct. Deep State etc are by an American author who started publishing them after I'd put out the first couple of Pete Gayle books.
