Charles This book has what looks like an AI Generated Cover?

Typically, that hints a AI content to some degree?

I don't think so; the art style is in keeping with the prior books were preceded genAI, and I don't think it has the look of AI, just regular digital art. The content is definitely not AI. This is a serious writer and I know he's been working on this book a long time.

You're off the hook. I had to go back to Barons of Oartheca, Oarthecan Star Saga, #2, but found an artist reference for the cover art that checked-out on the Intarweb.

James Siewert Just to clarify the cover art for the series, the covers for Allure of Oartheca and Barons of Oartheca were created by Ryan Carriere. The cover for Captains of Oartheca was designed by Usama Zaheen, based on an adaptation of the previous two covers. Both artists were selected from a popular website that offers, amongst other things, book cover creation, and their services were compensated for. Neither artist disclosed to me the use of AI in generating the covers and so I do not know for certain if AI was used. In the future, this will be a question I will be sure to ask. However, based on the multiple revisions each cover went through, I am confident that great deal of personalised work went into their creation. Hopefully this information helps clear up any questions or concerns.
