I really need to read some Christie at some point. Thanks for the great review - might have to pick this one up. Oh, and just so you know, some of us "youngsters" read the obits, too. lol! No, really, I tend to read them almost every day now that I work in a small-town library. Have a lot of older patrons, and yeah, I've lost several of them. Sad, but it's life.
I have to reread this book sometime. I remember finding this hard to get into when I was considerably younger. But I suspect I'd really enjoy this book now. Thanks for the good review.
I have always liked this one, though I know some don't feel it's one of her best. I think it's well put together and logical.
Henry, A lovely review. I have to confess however that I so enjoyed the TV series with Joan Hickson, and especially this episode, that I have no wish to read the book which I'm sure is excellent.
Henry, I did not enjoy Miss Marple as portrayed by Margaret Rutherford. I have seen her portrayed by several actors, but I thought Joan Hickson did it best.
Rafiel wasn't an army major. That was another character in A Caribbean Mystery, the first murder victim.
