am very eager for this change over to take place - and it hasn't yet, going on 48hours.

Yes, apologies, I note I was looking at the ebook version - and not the kindle version...

is it possible to have the two other versions - ebook, and create space publishing - which I think refers to the paperback which I have also changed on Amazon to the new cover?

If the ISBNs are being reused, add an alternate cover edition for each. We would not replace the covers on those formats.

Thanks for the tip. Was able to do as you advised for the paperback edition. But the ebook only gives me the option of making a new edition or combining editions. (no alternate cover option)

If your e-book does not have an ISBN it will not work. You'll have to just add a new edition.
