I think John's story was left without a full ending so him being in the shadows is a problem that needs to be corrected. Maybe have him go to the continent like Alistair.

John's story is definitely not over, and he is not going to the Continent. My working title for THE COVENT GARDEN CAPER was SOUTHCOTT STRIKES BACK...
