Good day to all. My name is Neil, I’m a writer and fellow journey-taker, and I believe deeply in the power of Christian books to transform our identity.I wanted to share a thought that anchors my own spiritual walk, and it comes from my new book, Rewriting Your Genesis:
"If you define your worth by what you do, you’ll always be chasing. Define it by who you are in Christ, and you’ll always be at peace."
What's one book or devotional that has helped you redefine your identity in Christ recently? I'd love to add some new titles to my reading list!
THE END OF ME: For Those Who Seek but Never Find35 years searching. Every spiritual path. Every promise of awakening.
Still empty. Still a stranger.
So I wrote what I actually saw — not what I was supposed to find.
"The End of Me: For Those Who Seek but Never Find"
Not self-help. Not hope. Just recognition.

YOU'RE MY FAVORITE RHYTHM
I've just added a book to the thriller shelf:
I'm not the author: he can't - he's not online.
I hope that's okay with you.
I'd like to write about it, if you don't mind.
I'm not the author, but I am a huge fan.
My review:

It is some story, and I enjoyed how the author built the suspense; it became apparent that something was going to happen to the wayfarer at some point, although it was never obvious what. The time put into building the atmosphere through capturing the history of the strings the author pulls upon I found engaging.
The wayfarer admits to himself during a period of reflection how he has existed for a good few years off the back of pure luck and that he should not at any point take that luck for granted: telling the reader that his fortune is soon to run out. At the point where his luck fell short, the book became an edge of the seat, page-turner, and I failed to put the book down, and read into the small hours.
The story takes an unexpected turn late on, and the fate of the wayfarer is left resting in the hands of a family of dubious morals. A turn that switches the focus of the story; however, without the switch, the story would lose the credibility the author has worked hard to maintain.
Towards the end, it becomes clear as to why the author tugged on the previously mentioned strings and in doing so he creates the belief that the story might just be part-way true.

Hi Jenny,
I think we can write about it. I just have.
I have a perma free book up on Amazon, Apple, Barnes and Noble, etc. Pandore: Dark Night of the Soul
Clay Donovan discovers a world beyond death when the past comes back to haunt him.
After a violent act of sacrifice leaves him suspended between life and the afterlife, Clay awakens to Pandore—a grim, ghost-ridden purgatory where lost souls linger, bargains bind tighter than chains, and nothing is free. Guided by Darcey, a sharp-tongued fiend with secrets of her own, Clay learns he can walk among the living… but only at a terrible cost.
As Clay intervenes in the lives of the dead and the dying, he begins to unravel a truth no soul is meant to know: his death is never meant to happen. Fate has been broken, powerful forces are watching, and every attempt to make things right risks condemning him forever.
Pandore is a dark urban fantasy about redemption, grief, and the dangerous hope of second chances—perfect for readers who love supernatural thrillers, morally complex heroes, and stories where the afterlife is just as broken as the world we leave behind.

I would love a review of my book ZEEKA AND THE ZOMBIES II.
The story is purely the author’s imagination, inspired by the Zika virus in 2016, and where Good triumphs over Evil.
The protagonist, Dr. Steven Sharpe, undergoes a deep transformation, evolving from victim to hero, while the antagonist, Master Zeeka, is psychologically complex, adding depth to the conflict.
With zombies, ghosts, kidnappings, and shocking revelations, the plot keeps the tension high.
In this new edition of Zeeka and the Zombies II: A Futuristic Sci-Fi Horror Thriller, the author Brenda Mohammed has added three more episodes, making it a four-episode novel.
The screenplay for Zeeka and the Zombies is a finalist in the 13Horror Screenplay Contest 2025.
Whoever reviews my book, I will review theirs.

A Monk & His Spy🚨 I mean it is FREE. There is absolutely nothing to lose! 🚨
My debut novel, A Monk & His Spy, is FREE on January 3rd and 4th! 📖✨ If you have a few hours to spare and an interest in what happens when a spy crashes a monastery, you can grab it for $0.00. 💸 If you read it and love it? Even better! 🙌
The Lowdown:
The Spy: Niamh is a burned operative hiding from the world’s most powerful criminal empire. After three years undercover, she’s been "rewarded" with exile to an alpine cloister at the end of the world. 🕵️♀️🏔️
The Monk: Brother Kayden likes silence, solitude, and not feeling anything "inconvenient". He’s currently holding onto his vows by pure spite. ⛪️🤫😤
The Conflict: Niamh is a "walking theological crisis with a sarcasm problem". She keeps poking at Kayden's silence and refuses to follow the rules. 🙊⚡️
The Vibe: A slow-burn thriller of secrets, sins, and chemistry that should absolutely come with a warning label. 🧨⚠️🔥
It’s twenty monks versus one spy—what could possibly go wrong? Neither is who they say they are, and catching feelings was definitely not in the briefing. 💖🤐

(As a debut author, I am in a state of constant internal conflict: I desperately want to know what you think, but the idea of someone actually reviewing my work also makes me want to hide under my bed. 🫣 If you do read it and feel like leaving a review, just know you are fueling both my career and my existential dread. It would make my debut-author heart very happy—and very, very nervous. 💓📉💓)

Jake is getting increasing frustrated with Adam's sleepwalking. Since he moved in officially, it has become much more frequent and Jake has started to wonder if it is due to his anxiety about the new life they are beginning to build. But as Adam's darkly poetic mutterings and somnambulism become more disturbed it seems to point instead towards the strange close on which they live, and the sense that something awakens there after dark.

Looking for Readers: Becoming Mama Memoir Free on Kindle Unlimited Through Jan 16I’m a first-time author excited to share my upcoming memoir, Becoming Mama, which is a deeply personal story about the quiet, complicated, and profoundly human journey into motherhood.
Through candid reflection, lived experience, tenderness, and unflinching truth, Becoming Mama explores infertility and uncertainty, relationship changes, people pleasing and boundary setting, presence over performance, and the quiet strength required to protect what matters most.
This book is not about doing motherhood “right.” It is about becoming.
Whether you are a new mom, expecting, or yearning to become one, Becoming Mama offers companionship rather than answers. It names what motherhood can feel like in the raw and ordinary moments when you’re tired, unsure, and still showing up. It is a reminder that your love is enough, and that motherhood is not a destination, but a continual becoming.
Becoming Mama is available on Amazon Kindle Unlimited for free through Friday, January 16th.

About A. A. Edwards — Author of Recovery, Resilience & GritHi Goodreads friends — I’m A. A. Edwards, an indie author blending personal truth with vivid story-telling across genres. I write to reconnect with the parts of myself that shaped who I became — the curious, creative, slightly nerdy kid who fell hard for stories, movies, comics, and the way narratives help us make sense of life.
For me, writing isn’t just craft — it’s identity recovery. I believe we don’t reinvent ourselves — we remember who we are and who we once dreamed of being. My work dives into real struggles, real growth, and real characters learning how to move forward even when life doesn’t make sense.
Here are my three published books:
🔗 Porn Addiction: A Sex Addict’s Honest Guide to Recovery
https://amzn.eu/d/8gyndjf
A candid, compassionate guide to understanding and recovering from porn addiction. Raw and unflinching, this book offers practical tools, personal insight, and compassionate direction for anyone struggling with compulsive sexual behaviour — whether for themselves or in support of someone they care about.
🔗 From the Cutting Room Floor: A Cinematic Guide to Mental Well-Being
https://amzn.eu/d/9Ln47vT
Think of your inner life like a movie — and this book as the director’s cut. Using cinematic metaphors and storytelling structure, it reframes mental well-being in a fresh, creative way. It’s honest, engaging, and built to help you see your own life with clearer perspective and renewed purpose.
🔗 Bristol Summer (Fiction Thriller)
https://amzn.eu/d/1nuK0fb
A fast-paced, character-driven thriller set against the vibrant, gritty backdrop of Bristol. Expect suspense, sharp dialogue, unexpected twists, and emotional depth — a story about secrets, survival, and how summer can change everything.
✍️ Why I Write
I write because stories saved me — and I hope they help others feel seen, understood, and less alone. Whether I’m exploring recovery, mental-wellbeing, or weaving thrilling fiction, the heart of my work is always the same: real people navigating real challenges with honesty, humour, and resilience.
I’m thrilled to be part of this community — and I’d love to connect with you, hear your thoughts, and share what we learn from each other
Happy reading!
Hola from Panama! This past year has been an adventure.
The first novel of my WWII alternative history series, Wolves at the Gate, enjoyed a successful launch, gaining 96 Amazon reviews at 4.4 stars and 35 Goodreads reviews at 4.25 stars.
After an amicable divorce from my publisher, I am now an Indie and my second novel, Wolves at the Gate: Guerrilla War, is on presale at Amazon with a release date of 24 March 2026.
I am looking for Series Reviewers for the first and second novels, who will provide fair and honest reviews at Amazon and Goodreads in exchange for free epub, pdf or mobi ARCs.
The Wolves at the Gate series is styled as Robert Conroy’s 1942 meets Charles Frazier’s Cold Mountain, with the epic multiple perspectives of Harry Turtledove’s Worldwar series. The novel differs from most other WWII fiction in its focus on the overlooked ordinary people on both sides caught up in the horrific battles antiseptically portrayed in history books.
You can take a look for yourself at the novel Amazon pages:
