Haha, I understand that feeling all too well, Rain! I put off reading this one for weeks because I was nervous about how it would make me feel. I really like (and trust) the author though, from all the previous books I’d read this year. That prepared me, in terms of what kind of story to expect. It was definitely heavy and the romance is secondary to the main plot, but I was good with that.
