Hello! My writing partner and I have completed a first draft of what call a Jewish epic fantasy. A little background: We are both Star Trek, LOTR and Austen fans; she is shomer Shabbes—I am not. She prefers to remain mostly anonymous and I love to shout my accomplishments from the rooftop! We're looking for Alpha Readers for this novel currently entitled, The Teshuva Protocol. With less than 40K words, there is plenty of room for development. On the other hand, I may stylize it as a Jewish fantasy novella, of epic proportions 🙂
No need to correct typos, grammar or punctuation...this is still fairly raw and we will need to go through it with a fine-tooth comb. We'd appreciate feedback such as:
*Great concept, I'm completely engaged, just needs to be fleshed out *You're all over the place, pick a plot and stick with it *Too preachy *Punishment/Redemption theme is off-putting *Religious points are incorrect *Too juvenile *It's been done to death, I'm bored
