Hi everyone, I’m R.D. Smithson — it’s great to meet you.

I write slow-burn, character-driven Christian fiction where courage grows quietly, faith runs deep, and ordinary people push back against darkness in small but meaningful ways.

My debut novel, Shadows Among The Peaks, releases soon. It follows Eli Shephard — a quiet wanderer shaped by faith, Montana mountains, and a calling he didn’t ask for — as he steps into a hidden battle against oppression in a remote mountain village. The story leans into themes of justice, mercy, community, and hope rather than graphic violence or shock value.
