I’m grateful that you took the time to say exactly everything I wanted to say. I so wish for a decent editing process to make this excellent horror story premise into an excellent book.

Thanks for this, Rebecca. I usually hesitate to highlight editing issues, partly because I don't enjoy embarrassing authors, and partly because I'm an editor myself and I've experienced authors ignoring my edits! We never know for sure what happened during either the writing or the editing processes. But this was so consistently poor in terms of misspellings and misuse of homophones, etc., that it had a great impact on my enjoyment of a novel I might otherwise have appreciated far more. So frustrating! And I'm glad I'm not alone in that. :)
