Larry Carr Looking forward to your review… I escaped the 60’s with minor brain damage.

Kurt Reichenbaugh I have this book too, but I just borrowed my sister's copy of The Family and will probably read it first. Your line about "events recited from memory by people who aged into their elder years" make me think of everyone who remembers "the Roswell Incident" from the 40s. I sometimes like stuff like this.

David Mc Great review, Still; however, I never would have imagined there would be a book with both the CIA & Charles Manson on the cover

Peter I read Helter Skelter. Wan’t that by Bugilosi?

Still Peter: Yes. Bughouse Bugilosi. Facts however are omitted. Ed Sanders’ book is a superior account of the events leading up to the Tate-Labianca murders while this one lifts a blood saturated carpet and counts the vermin crawling beneath the official account.

Still Thank you, David

Still Kurt: man, I loved The Family. Sanders’ book is cited throughout Chaos. While this was a true work of a superb investigative journalist, I found Sanders book more “fun” with many of the same hair raising details & interviews with alt-lifestyle types privy to details not discussed by Bughouse in his more famous book.

Thanks, Still. I will check it out.
