I have a couple faves I reread every Christmas:What Child Is This by Caroline B Cooney. Kind of a surprising read, given the rest of her catalogue. It's a very short book with multiple POVs, centered around foster kids Matt (teen) and Katie (8) and the family of Liz (in Matt's class) and her married sister who has just recently lost her baby girl, Katie. They end up entangled when Liz's family picks out a wish on the Christmas tree at Matt's work "Katie, age 8, wants a family." It's sweet, it's sad, it will both make you cry and smile.
The Magical Christmas Cat - anthology. 4 short stories, all have romance, kitties, and Christmas. It's one of those fun books that's perfect to read curled up under a blanket, with a hot chocolate and a purring cat next to you. Christmas Bree by Erin McCarthy is my favorite of the four.
Silent Night (books 1 and 2) by R.L Stine. Part of the Fear Street Super Chiller series, both books focus on cousins: beautiful, cruel, rich Reva and poor, sweet, friendly Pam. The first book revolves around a series of increasingly alarming practical 'jokes' being played on Reva in revenge for her own cruel jokes at her daddy's department store, while Pam deals with escalating threats against her after being involved in a failed robbery. The second revolves around a group of kidnappers targeting the rich Dalby family.
Hope you enjoy them if you check them out!
I am open for every genre:)then I want to challenge you with some erotica. Very good match to the Cold Season.
Let it snow short story collection: 3 holiday romances by John green, Maureen Johnson, Lauren Myracle
Richard Paul Evans has four Christmas books. His KU books are relatively expensive so I buy the hardback book, read it, and gift it on to someone else. I love his writing.
Karen wrote: "Winter Street series by Elin Hildebrand."Or WInter Stroll. By the same author. I'm reading this one now. (for the 2nd time)
I just finished The Secret Christmas Library by Jenny Cplgan. It's a great book filled with suspense, a little romance and the joy of Christmas and every day.
Well if you want an apocalyptic book with a wintery setting you could read my novella - RUBY. If you do, thanks so very much!!
Lisa wrote: "Let it snow short story collection: 3 holiday romances by John green, Maureen Johnson, Lauren Myracle"Oh that one is really fun! The movie did a pretty good job adapting it too.
I second Let It Snow: Three Holiday Romances - an enjoyable read.Ember and the Ice Dragons by Heather Fawcett is a fun middle grade fantasy novel set in Antarctica.
White Witch's Hat & other Yuletide ghost stories - if you like dark and sad.
She Can Only Marry a Dragon: A Collection of Modern Fairy Tales - if you like "playful writing." These are short modern fairy tales that I wrote.
