I greatly enjoy describing how I usually don't enjoy descriptive writing, only to then describe which type of descriptive writing is the exception to the rule I just described! :-)

I live this book. It's my last of the Booker finalists and it is my favorite. Glad to know of the music. After I finish the read I may do the audio because the music is so much of this character!

This is a stand alone book. It brought me total joy and reminded me what a Great Novel can do: it transports you.
