Jamie Newman Good luck! I can't wait to hear what you think! I have only read one of his novels and it was TOUGH. I've wanted to try the one you're reading.

Thanks, Jamie! I've read some of his novellas and I really enjoyed HERSCHT 07769, so let's see what this one has in store!

Bonnie G. You always expand my world with your insightful reviews.I had not planned to read this writer, despite the Nobel, but now that has changed.

Thank you so much, Bonnie! The Nobel often appears random, but I think that lately, both Fosse and Krasznahorkai were very solid decisions.

I agree on the readdomness, and on Fosse being a great choice -- I expect good things from Krasznahorkai

Left Coast Justin This sounds like a book I would not enjoy at all, but I feel strangely compelled to read it now, or at least try to read it. Thanks to the Great Sage of Saarland!

I hope you'll admire (enjoy certainly wouldn't be an appropriate term) his writing as much as I do!

Haha, I'm also hailing from a valley of doom, that's my connection to the great Krasznahorkai! ;-) It's really not enjoyable literature in the strict sense, Justin, but it's moving and disturbing, IMHO.
