Peter Most voters do not pay attention to anything but the surface appearance of things. Thus, the situation has to get unspeakably bad (for those who pay attention) before the majority of voters will realize there is an underlying problem.

Lewis Woolston Worth mentioning is that the Labor party now has almost no actual working class people in it. They are the party of the latte belt and middle class University brats.

Callum's Column Peter - insightful as always.
Lewis - correct, but the pejoratives at the end struck a little too close to home haha

Peter @Lewis—US has the same problem with the Democrats. Even at the grassroots level. Things have finally started to change, but it is a painfully slow process.

Peter Actually, in every local election held over the last eight months, the Democrats have outperformed their average, and the move against Republicans has been double digits. This is likely mostly due to the substantial gap between what voters were told to expect and what actually occurred. So people are waking up despite the moderate wing of the Dems doing next to nothing.
