- - The Inheritance Games (SO ADDICTIVE- NUMBER ONE REC)- Shatter Me Book 1 (boring until chapter 8, and then you're hooked! if u can wait till chapter 8 u wont be disappointed)
- Caraval SERIES IS A MUST
- The Naturals
no pressure to read them all, choose what suits ur vibe and tastes!
Boys of Tommen series, One of us is lying, Lightlark series, When in Rome series, Legacy of Gods, The Eden’s Series, are all very good ones to get you out of Book Slumps and i absolutely loved all of them (I only read the first book in the Eden’s series but it was amazing and i didn’t expect it at all)
I would love more feedback on my book "The Umbra Signal." I am currently working on book #2 of the trilogy, and your comments/suggestions would be greatly welcomed!
I have a sentient object romance novelette that’s pulled a few people out of their reading slump! Don’t judge the sentient object romance part… I know it sounds gross but it’s a different world and so unique! Free to read and only like, 60 pages
Anthologies are great when you are looking for something to read that's different or in a slump where nothing sounds good. There are so many different anthologies available, any genre, any author. I always have at least one book of these multiple stories queued on my reader. They are great for those times when you don't have alot of time to get into a story and they make great gifts.
Look up your favorite books and scroll down to see the 'readers also liked'. I can give you recommendations if you tell me what books you like. Send me a message or I will forget.
When I'm in a reading slump my go to books are The Marked Saga by Bianca Scardoni, Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead, any book by Kelley Armstrong, or even the The Curse Breaker Trilogy by Brigid Kremmerer
All of the Shadowhunters books by Cassandra Clare The Lux / Origins and Dark Elements / Harbinger series by Jennifer L Armentrout
Look at your favourite books here, the ones you enjoyed most. You can see readers who shelf such books, see what else they enjoy. or if you want to be surprised, go with recommendations of others. or join some reading groups here. I understand your predicament, there are so so many great books and you want to find them and not waste your time reading slump.
As Long As The Lemon Trees Grow by Zoulfa Katouh, it's literally so good and it actlly made me cryThis Woven Kingdom by Taherah Mafi, i honestly prefered this over Shatter Me; however, the first book was boring af but the second one i literally finished like in 1 sitting literally an hour ago
To get you out of a slump ive heard reading children's books really helps!! Like Harry Potter or anything you might've read when you were younger Hope this helps!
The Adventures of CamelThis is an awesome book about adventure and how different personalities cope with grief and loss. Fun easy read.

read the book “Babel” by R F Kaung! such a good bookkeeping, very sad but very deep and easily a 5 star read for me!
the book that helped me out of my slump was the spellshop so cozy so beautiful a nice light fantasy read i recommend this book to everyone with a reading slump
Literally ANYTHING by Jennifer Lynn Barnes or I am not Jessica Chen by Ann Laing (My best book of 2025)
1000% spark of the everflame series. I recommended it to a friend in a reading slump and it got her straight out of it. Its a romantasy (unfinished series) with banter and a good amount of plot to keep you reading. Easy read vibes with enough intrigue.
For me, shorter books like poetry collections, short story collections, essay collections, and memoirs are easier for me to get through when I'm in a slump. "Born A Crime" by Trevor Noah is currently on my TBR.
Frieda McFadden always gets me out of a slump! She has lots of books to choose from and they’re all fast paced and twisty!
A short mystery novel is usually pretty good for getting most readers out of a reading slump! I recommend Agatha Christie’s “And Then There Were None”, or Jessica Goodman’s “They’ll Never Catch Us”.
Usually I try to read something short and impactful or something short and light. I recommend Weird Things Customers Say in Bookshops by Jen Campbell, The Anthropocene Reviewed by John Green and Flipped by Wendelin Van Draanen
Try Cadence of the Stormif you are looking for a relationship growth and great character development.
There's a romantic thriller that was my top read of 2025, 'Catfish Honeytrap' https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
A Gap In The Sky if you like themes of art, art forgery, meaning we attribute to art objects, memories. Beautifully written story, emotionally intelligent, deep yet also humorous and witty. Reads like an adventure road movie at times. It is one of the books that stays with you, you feel like you made friends with the characters
