It seems like the first part of your comment was accurate. It was certainly a tunnel vision for North Atlantic European history, but the second part about your disdain for nuclear power is a subjective critique. It's natural for this book to be outpaced by the renewable energy field as its fast emerging as a practical alternative.
What book would you recommend as introduction to nuclear energetics?
To be fair, the book was published in 2018, so it was a little more difficult to foresee the meteoric rise of renewable energy.
