Joseph’s review of Every Day Is Sunday: How Jerry Jones, Robert Kraft, and Roger Goodell Turned the NFL into a Cultural & Economic Juggernaut > Likes and Comments

Great review, Joe. As a corollary to/pushback on your last point, I think it's very interesting to analyze the NFL as a public institution that spans political divides and whose fanbase pretty closely matches the American political spectrum. College football, on the other hand, tends to have a much more conservative fanbase. The extent to which it is a component of US soft power is also fascinating. It is a distinctly American sport that has become super popular abroad (especially in Europe and LATAM). This has all occurred despite it lacking the domestic league presence of basketball or baseball in almost all foreign countries.
