P.S. Davis Hi everyone,

I thought I would properly introduce myself and explain how I ended up here.

I am P. S. Davis, a fantasy author with two published novels, The Seeker’s Wrath and An Envious God, both set in a fully fictional world called Teloshka. These books are epic fantasy with a strong political and cultural focus, but they are not set on Earth, which I know places them a little outside the core scope of this group.

The slightly amusing reason I joined is that I was contacted by someone claiming to be a moderator here, via email, inviting me to take part in a reading challenge. The message did not quite sit right, so instead of replying privately, I joined the group to check for myself and quickly realised two things. First, the email was almost certainly not legitimate. Second, this is a genuinely interesting group that takes reading seriously, which I appreciated immediately.

While my currently released novels do not fit the Around the World brief in a literal sense, I am also working on a science fiction comedy called The Frog Paradox, which very much does. It is about a frog that the universe accidentally gives the ability to time travel, resulting in a cascade of increasingly ridiculous consequences on Earth. That project is still in development, but it is the one that aligns most naturally with this group’s focus on place and setting.

For now, I am mostly here as a reader, observer, and occasional participant in discussions. I enjoy seeing how people approach books through geography and culture, and I am glad I followed my instincts rather than an email link.

If anyone is curious, my Goodreads profile links to my books and ongoing projects. I am always happy to answer questions, whether about writing, worldbuilding, or how many scam emails an author can receive before developing a twitch.

Thanks for having me here, and happy reading.

P.S. Davis Apologies, I had to provide The Seeker's Wrath instead of An Envious God for some reason. But both are on my profile ;)
