I preordered that one, Erin. Still haven't started it yet!!I am about halfway through a Swedish crime novel: The Glass Man and I'm still reading The Essential Horror Stories by Joe Lansdale. The Essential Horror of Joe R. Lansdale
I am almost done listening to The Remaking by Clay McLeod Chapman.

I got it for Christmas, I can't wait to dive into it!
Currently about 100 pages into Looking Glass Sound by Catriona Ward, my Gothic novel read for International Gothic Reading Month according to The Society for the Study of the American Gothic: https://americangothicsociety.com/int...
I read The End..... about a month ago, and read the Stand many years ago, when it came out. I thought almost all of the stories in The End....were just great, and brought me backto how immersed I was in the characters of The Stand. The End... also introduced me to a bunch of writers that were totally new to me.
I just finished Only the Devil is Here by Stephen Michell and for a book I randomly decided to read from the library it was great! And kinda wholesome for horror fantasy at times. It’s one I defo need to get a copy for my shelf too.
I just finished a Swedish crime novel:
. This is the second in a series, and even though I didn't enjoy it quite as much as the first, it was still very good.I'm about to start a cosmic horror novella:
and then I'll be starting our second group read.
Finished both His Grace, the Duke and Pucking Strong and currently reading Before the Coffee Gets Cold
Monica wrote: "I'm still reading
and also started
"I have The Devil's Knot sitting on my shelf! I definitely need to get to that one.
I also recently finished The Long Walk
. Now I can finally watch the movie!
Yesterday, I finished my reread of Revival via audio. I think this book has the best King ending out of all of his books. I loved the The Long Walk too!
Currently I'm reading our group read: By the Light of Dead Stars and I'm listening to Phil Fracassi's
for International Gothic Reading Month.
I have that Triana right next to my reclinder. It's been sitting there for over a year and I still haven't read it. :(
Just finished Fever House by Keith Rosson and Maeve Fly by C.J. Leede. Loved them both! My 1st Rosson and now I want to read them all.
Reading It Was Her House First The story is surprisingly good but I do have one bone to pick about the grammar. Several times it's written "Me and Kate" and it should be "Kate and I". Just my own little annoyance.

Sjgomzi wrote: "Just finished Fever House by Keith Rosson and Maeve Fly by C.J. Leede. Loved them both! My 1st Rosson and now I want to read them all."Love Maeve Fly. I want to re read it soon.
Recently finished Cabin Black and it is fantastic for anyone who loves cabin in the woods horror or the Evil Dead movies. Plus it's a shorter read at just under 160 pages!
Just getting started with When the Wolf Comes Home after hearing so many good things about it, and finding out that Nat Cassidy will be at an event I'm attending at the end of Feb. So will CJ Leede, so I need to put Maeve Fly high in the stack as well! :-)I resisted Gone to See the River Man for quite a while, because my tastes have migrated away from extreme horror. But the thing is, while there are extreme elements to the book, I'm not sure I'd call it extreme horror. I admit I enjoyed it far more than I thought I would.
I've been very slow this year, I'm still reading Orakel from Thomas Olde Heuvelt
since the start of December.edit/update: I didn't love it, certainly the least good novel from this author I've ever read.
Robert wrote: "Just getting started with When the Wolf Comes Home after hearing so many good things about it, and finding out that Nat Cassidy will be at an event I'm attending at the end of Feb...."I agree.
Monica wrote: "Robert wrote: "Just getting started with When the Wolf Comes Home after hearing so many good things about it"I finished that myself last month, a very good read!
Sjgomzi wrote: "Just finished Fever House by Keith Rosson and Maeve Fly by C.J. Leede. Loved them both! My 1st Rosson and now I want to read them all."I've become a big fan of Keith Rosson over the last few years. I get it!
Robert wrote: "Just getting started with When the Wolf Comes Home after hearing so many good things about it, and finding out that Nat Cassidy will be at an event I'm attending at the end of Feb...."This settles my mind a bit, because I've been moving away from extreme horror over the last few years.
I finished our group read By the Light of Dead Stars and enjoyed it. 4*I'm now reading
, edited by Ellen Datlow. This one is full of great authors. I've also started
and I'm hoping to finsih Phil Fracassi's
today.
Started WhistleAppears to be about a haunted train set but I've just started reading so I have no idea where this might go
Just finished Catriona Ward's
Looking Glass Sound. I found it intriguing, an exploration of story (who owns it, how it affects the people involved), its power and magic. My 4-star review here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Although, I'm not sure I say anything different from the above, I just use more words.
I just started The End by Adam Cosco. I had to buy it as I thought the prose was very "present" somehow. It's rare for the quality to stop me, but this did.

I have that on hold at the library. I thought it looked really good.

If you have other things to read, I'd say don't bother with Whistle. It's a mess and the writing is really amateur night stuff.
...and Alan thought my review of it was insightful. LOL
I finished both
and
and both were good. I've started on Matt Dinniman's latest
and Peter Cline's latest on audio, narrated by the phenomenal Ray Porter:
I like Peter Cline's stuff, and I love Ray Porter's narration, so I'll be curious to hear what you think of God's Junk Drawer
I've finished Diavola, The Cold House, Poverty, by America, The Exorcism of Anneliese Michel...reading Moral Ambition now and will be getting to At the Wolf's Table next!
I'm now reading The Haunting of Gillespie House
So far it's deliciously cozily spooky!
I also finished
. Not sure if it counts as horror but it was great.
